Well, I am a filmie since day one. I have a Canon Rebel and have been shooting with that for the past 3 years. I have done one wedding (second shooter) with it and a few photo sessions. I love my film camera. I am at a point that I feel I have a better handle on exposure and will be purchasing my first digital camera this year. I think this will help me with my composition. My goal is to be able to shoot with both. With film, I can't see the product right away so I try REALLY hard to get it right the first time around. I also do not overshoot because film is not that cheap to buy these days and get processed. I truly recommend students start out with film and then move on to digital, but that's just me.

Missy,

I can't tell you the number of fashion photogs I've met who have NEVER shot film. Admittedly, most are in their early twenties. But film is still here. I think both film and digital formats should continue to be part of any photography education. Film is not dead, yet. It still has certain sensibilities that warrant its use by both amatures and professionals. I use both, each for its suited purpose.

What's Photography?

I'm not kidding! This is a question for everyone.

What's your own definition of photography?

No fair crackin' open a dictionary!
